Job Description
Experienced DBA responsible for individual and team projects in addition to daily support and maintenance duties. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are a must. The environment is fun, fast changing, team oriented, challenging and educational.
- Keep production SQL environment up and running
- Provide on-call support
- Proactively monitor and tune SQL servers
- Work well with other DBAs and developers
- Provide status of projects to management
- Document processes
- Keep current with new technologies
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience
- Proficient in SQL Server 2005/2008 administration
- DTS/SSIS experience
- SQL to SQL replication
- Developing, optimising and maintaining stored procedures and jobs
- Maintaining security through NT and SQL
- Index creation and maintenance
- Maintaining SQL logs
- Troubleshooting and resolving errors in SQL logs, user queries et al
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and work independently
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
